In four years as Ward E’s voice on the city council, Councilman Fulop has implemented the most ambitious street paving projects in the history of the ward. Because of Councilman Fulop’s efforts, Ward E has obtained more funding for public renovation projects than any other section of Jersey City.
These projects include:
• Renovation of the Grove Street Plaza • Rehabilitation of the Owen Grundy Pier • Construction of the Van Vorst Dog Run • Funding for the Hamilton Park Renovation Project • Greene Street Park Renovation (Spring 2009) • Implementation of the first Newark Avenue Redevelopment Plan (Between Grove Street and Jersey Ave.)PDF Link • Supported the development of the first JC Sewer system master plan in 2008
While progress has been made in Ward E over the last four years, there is still more to be accomplished. Councilman Fulop is determined to continue progress on infrastructure improvements in Ward E including:
• The completion of the Hamilton Park Renovation Project • The Greene Street Park Renovation • Continued Street Paving Initiatives • First Street Park Renovation • Newark Ave redevelopment and streetscape plan • Jersey Ave streetscape initiative • Strong advocate for Embankment preservation as open space for downtown Jersey City • Powerhouse Renovation • Continue to rehabilitate aging sewer systems throughout Ward E |
